New study on intergroup contact and academic achievements [Hebrew]

Writer: Nurit ShnabelNurit Shnabel

A new study examined the association between intergroup contact and academic performance among minority students at Tel Aviv University. Study 1 tested whether participation in a group dynamic course, which involves intimate interpersonal contact between Arab and Jewish students, is associated with better academic outcomes. Study 2 tested whether intergroup contact at the university correlated with better academic outcomes, even when controlling for other relevant variables (e.g., pre-university contact). You can read about the study and its results on the website of TAU's Faculty of Social Sciences, here [in Hebrew].
